A call to Hugh & David at DGM HQ. My visit to HQ has been postponed until next week, that I may remain & be present with ongoing building works here & at World HQ.

Hugh has some advice re: better airport distribution from the Minx office at the end of the corridor. David reports on The Vicar’s latest adventures, in Scotland.

11.08  The joiners are downstairs.

This is an excellent firm, the third I have used since living in Bredonborough. They respond immediately to the difficulties & problems that inevitably arise when material objects are being shaped & transported. I long for people who can tell me what I need to do, on the basis of greater knowledge & experience in their operating field, than those who look passively at me & wait for detailed instruction in (eg) the finer points of moulding & the weight-carrying properties of varying shelf length. Both of which attract my interest, but are not my speciality.

Soon, books on bookshelves! Many volumes will be lifted from boxes packed almost 7 years ago at Reddish House, moved to a warehouse in Dorchester, moved from the warehouse when damp became an issue, moved to another building in Bredonborough, and moved in turn to the re-vibrated cellar here. Shortly: old & new friends begin returning to my life.

In the 7 years since my library was packed into some 500 boxes, the net has become a valuable source of basic info. But, for detailed study & depth researching, a library remains the primary resource mode; with online twerning in support.

11.40  Ian & Kevin have left, re-vibrations done. Bookshelves are now available.

12.07  Confirmed dates this June for the Soundscapes + The League of Crafty Guitarists (director: Hernan Nunez)...

23 June: Reggio Emilia

24 June: Udine

26 June: Firenze

28 June: La Spezia

Why no diary entry for the St. Louis show? Perhaps slight embarassment at finally succumbing to the will of the audience? To quote The Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase "Everybody’s got a price”…

Sadly, no one has yet offered me my price (although I live in hope, and attempts to satiate venal lust are encouraged. The delay in posting diary entries is a result of dealing with a wide range of responsibilities, one of which is earning a living. Oh! How I suffer.

20.35  Acts of e-frenzying have reduced the inbox by 20%. Guitar practising awaits.
